Copy Cat Digital is Atlantic Canada’s leader in video production and duplication services. Many other companies have come and gone over the years, but we are still here for three main reasons:
- Best Products
- Best Service
- Best Prices
Terry initially got interested in video in the early ’80’s when he started doing wedding videos. In 1988, Terry decided to expand his services and get into the video duplication business. Soon after, he bought some film transfer equipment from a gentleman in the area, and started doing film transfers in the spare bedroom of his home in Spryfield. He was sharing that room with his future wife, who was into doing lots of crafts.
Terry soon outgrew that room.
Terry decided to rent a small, windowless space (not much bigger than a large broom closet) in a commercial building on Almon street. He soon realized that this space was too small as well, and he needed a way to have a place where customers could come to drop off and pick up the work that was being done. The answer to this dilemma was easy… Buy a book store at the front of the building, and also operate Copy Cat from there. This worked for a while, but soon there were more growing pains. A deal was struck to lease space next to the bookstore that had no storefront. This gave Copy Cat more room to grow. Soon, the space in front became available as well, so Copy Cat finally had it’s own storefront. No longer needing the bookstore, Terry sold it back to the original owner.
Copy Cat Video Services then changed it’s name to Copy Cat Digital, to reflect the new services that were now being offered. In 2008, Copy Cat Digital moved to it’s own home, in a newly renovated building at Oxford and Cork Street.
In addition, we’ve changed our website over the years to keep up with new ideas and technologies, and to add more features and services.
